How do I rate a beer?
Open the Beers tab, search for the beer (or add it if it’s not in the list), open it, and tap the stars. You can add a photo, a comment, and choose whether to pin the location to your personal map.
Where do I find my beer map?
Tap the Map tab. Your pins are marked in gold, your friends’ pins (if they have allowed map sharing) in another colour. Tap a pin to see what beer was rated there.
How does the social feature work?
There are two ways to connect with other users:
- Friends — mutual relationship. You send a request and once accepted, you can see each other’s ratings and (optionally) their map.
- Follow — one-way, only possible for users who have made their profile public. Their activity shows up in your feed.
How do I block or report another user?
- Block: Open the user’s profile → tap ⋯ at the top right → Block user. They will no longer be able to see your activity, and they will disappear from your feed.
- Report: Same menu → Report user. Choose a reason and optionally add details. For comments, tap Report next to the comment.
We review every report. Accounts that violate our rules will be removed.
How do I delete my account?
For now, please email support@beerpin.de from the email address linked to your account. We will delete your account and all personal data within 30 days. An in-app deletion button is coming in a future release.
Why is BeerPin 18+?
BeerPin is about alcoholic beverages. Apple and German law require that apps with alcohol-related content are restricted to adults. We verify your age during sign-up.
I forgot my password
On the login screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. You will receive a link to reset it.
Push notifications
You will receive notifications when:
- A friend request is sent or accepted
- A friend rates a beer or writes a diary entry
- Someone likes or comments on your ratings
You can disable all BeerPin notifications in your iPhone’s Settings → Notifications → BeerPin.
My data didn’t sync
BeerPin syncs in real time when you are online. If something looks off, pull-to-refresh on the affected tab. If the problem persists, write to support@beerpin.de and include your username and what you tried.
